ROLI's new Songmaker Kit lets you take a full band with you anywhere

I recently reviewed ROLI's Seaboard Block, and it would appear the Seaboard Block now has friends you can take with you anywhere in ROLI's new Songmaker Kit.

The Songmaker Kit comprises three parts: the Seaboard Block, the Lightpad Block M, and the Loop Block, which lets you record loops on the fly in performance, or bring them into your favorite audio control app for more fun. This combination of awesome tools lets you instantly become a full band on the go, and thanks to ROLI's Noise app (still not available for Android for some crazy reason), you really just need the Songmaker Kit and your iPhone or iPad, and you can play a show. You can also use Equator on your Mac.

This is perfect for songwriting while traveling or simply bringing all the electronic goodness you want to a jam.

The Songmaker Kit also comes with a Snapcase, so you're protected on the go, and everything connects via Bluetooth, so you're not tethered to an outlet anywhere. You'll get ROLI's software bundle, which is worth $400 on its own: Equator, Ableton Live Lite, Tracktion Waveform, and Strobe2 Player.

The Songmaker Kit ain't cheap, retailing for $599.95, but if you want the best of what's around in terms of compact, top-of-the-line electronic instruments, then it's totally worth it.
