How to sign up for an invite to Fortnite for iPhone and iPad

The extremely popular Fortnite is coming to iOS, and mobile gamers everywhere are rejoicing. While the game isn't out publicly yet, you can sign up for the beta right now — here's how!

How to sign up for the Fortnite Battle Royale iPhone and iPad beta

All you need to do to sign up for the beta is to go to the Fortnite Battle Royale website and enter your email address.

NOTE: Due to the popularity of the game, Epic Games is having trouble keeping its site up and running smoothly. You may get a 404 when trying to load its website.

After you sign up, it's time to wait:

"We will send you an email invitation with a link to download the game from the App Store, as soon as you can play. New invites will roll out as the servers can handle more players. Thanks for your patience!"

System requirements

Fortnite Battle Royale will require an internet connection (no surprise there) to participate in its massively multiplayer online brawl; to play it, you'll need iOS 11 or later and one of the following devices:

  • iPhone SE or later
  • iPhone 6S or later
  • iPad Mini 4 or later
  • iPad Air 2 or later (this includes the iPad (5th generation) and iPad Pro)

Will there be an Android release?

Currently, the Fortnite beta is limited to iPhone and iPad users, though Epic Games states they hope to release an Android version in the next few months.
