Does the Fitbit Charge 3 have Fitbit Pay?

Best answer: Yes, the Special Edition variant of the Fitbit Charge 3 has Fitbit Pay. The regular model, however, does not.Fitbit: Fitbit Charge 3 Special Edition ($170)

Only the Special Edition Charge 3 has Fitbit Pay

The Fitbit Charge 3 does have Fitbit Pay, but only if you get the Special Edition.

Fitbit sells two variants of the Charge 3, inlcuding a regular option and the Special Edition one. The two devices are nearly identical and support all of the same features, with the biggest difference being that the Special Edition has Fitbit Pay while the regular version does not.

Check out the supported banks/cards before you buy

Fitbit Pay works pretty much the same as the Apple Pay on the Apple Watch. Bring up the card you want to use, hold the Charge 3 near the NFC terminal you're paying at, and the transaction will be completed just like that.

Not all banks and cards that support Apple Pay support Fitbit Pay, however, so make sure you take a look at Fitbit's official list to ensure that your bank/credit union is supported.

The Special Edition also comes with an exclusive band

In addition to Fitbit Pay, the Special Edition also comes with an exclusive band that you can't purchase spearately from Fitbit.

The two exclusive bands you can choose from include Lavendar Woven (pictured below) and Frost White Sport. No matter which one you choose, you'll also get an extra Black Classic band to give you two distinct styles out of the box.

Get the Special Edition for the best Charge 3 experience

The Special Edition Charge 3 does cost $20 more than the regular model, but if you want Fitbit Pay and two bands from the get-go, it's worth the slighty higher price tag.
